I first fell for Sri Lanka some years ago, a deep love affair that led me to build and create Satori as a sanctuary from a busy life. The beauty of the property in every detail and the private serenity of its location, high in the hills, is my joy.
For me, Satori is a place of inspiration; a place to relax, refresh and recharge. Whether taking a yoga or meditation class, lying in hammocks fanned by coconut palms or floating in the pool under the stars, there is a natural slowing of pace that is rich to the soul and the spirit.
My passion is to share the unique energy of Satori with teachers and students from all fields of healing, personal development and well being. We can hold intimate retreats for up to 14 people and offer the kind of uplifting space for growth and transformation that cannot be found in a hotel or resort.
I created Satori to be a home from home nestled in the lush jungle hills - yet all within easy reach of the beaches, tranquil villages and everyday life of Southern Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka itself is a beautiful country with a warm and friendly people. And all as-yet unspoilt by mass tourism. Satori offers everyone who enters here a perfect slice of this gentle harmony.
That is also reflected in the extraordinary kindness of our local staff, many of whom have been with us for years. Their generosity, smiles and genuine care and attention have touched us deeply, as well as our guests and are part of the essential spirit of Satori.
Whether you're a teacher or looking to join a retreat we look forward to sharing a very special place with you here in the heart of paradise.
